Kaye (Allam) Roman, 70, passed in her Lilburn, GA home on May 11th, surrounded by her loving family, ending her 3-year battle with ovarian cancer. Kaye was born in Gladwin, MI on January 18th, 1947 to David and Eltha Allam of Beaverton, MI. She grew up in Beaverton and on May 10th, 1969 she married Randall Roman also of Beaverton. They and their three children; Brent, Sheryl and Mandi moved to Knoxville, TN in 1976 and to Lilburn in 1980.
Kaye is remembered in every heart that she touched during her life as a selfless, compassionate and loving human being. She was a mother figure to many people who needed a mother. She fed and entertained strangers during the holidays and she would make them feel welcome in her home. She was quick to offer a helping hand to anybody in need. And, she was always ready to cheer anybody up with a smile, a kind word and a hug. Her nature was to tend to the needs of others, even during her own time of need. She will be dearly missed by her surviving family and friends who love her.
Besides her husband and children, Kaye is survived by her daughter-in-law, Mary Beth Roman and two grandchildren, Macrina and Nina; and son-in-law, Will Heard (Mandi). She is also survived by her brother, David & Karen (Watson) of Wasilla, AK. She was pre-deceased by her parents and two siblings, Roger and Danny.
The service will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, August 23rd, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Lawrenceville. Interment will follow right there at the church's columbarium, immediately following the memorial service.
