Margaret Faye HeiligFebruary 27, 1926 ~ November 22, 2017 (age 91)
Margaret Faye Fisher Heilig, 91, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Nov. 22, 2017, after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was surrounded by loved ones as she entered Heaven.
Born Feb. 27, 1926, in Salisbury, NC to Luther and Myrtie Fisher, Margaret was the youngest of five children. Her siblings, Luther Jr., Helen, Louise and Irene all predeceased her.
Margaret graduated from Boyden High School in Salisbury, NC where she met and married the love of her life. She is survived by her loving husband, Brady A. Heilig; her children, Tim Heilig (Ellen), Carol Wright (Mike) and Kristin Chapman (Mark); her grandchildren, Timothy Heilig Jr. (Kim), Philip Heilig (Kim), Sam Heilig (Rachel), Brady Heilig II, Miller Wright, Margaret Wright, Perry Wright, Grace Chapman and Davis Chapman; great-grandchildren, Luke Heilig, Benjamin Heilig and Samuel Heilig Jr.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Margaret found her highest calling in praying for her family and teaching them about Jesus. She showed unconditional love for her family and others by acts of kindness and service. She was a member of Lilburn Alliance Church and retired as a tax examiner from the Internal Revenue Service.
The family will welcome visitors beginning at 2:30 p.m. at Lilburn Alliance Church, followed by a funeral service at 3:30 p.m., on Monday, Nov. 27, 2017. A reception will follow. A family graveside service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Margaret to Lilburn Alliance Church, 5915 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, GA 30084 or to Young Life of East Cobb, P.O. Box 935, Marietta, GA 30061.
