Antonia Collins, age 84 of Duluth, died December 26, 2017. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the Catholic Church of St. Monica in Duluth, GA, with Father Jack Durkin serving as Celebrant. Mrs. Collins, formerly presiding in Norfolk, VA, was born in Seville, Spain and was a faithful loving mother and wife. She is survived by her daughters, Debra Collins Morris of Norfolk, VA and Dorothy Markert (Dave) of Duluth; sons, Steven E. Collins of Virginia Beach, VA and James A. Collins of Norfolk, VA; sister, Dolores Hay of Suwanee; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister Josefina of Seville, Spain, who had 4 children and 7 Grandchildren. Antonia was a member of St. Monica's Catholic Church and was formerly a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norfolk Virginia. Always proud of her strong Catholic heritage as a native Spaniard, she held her faith and devotion in high regard and had a great love for God and her fellow man. She has stayed in the Autumn Leaves Memory Care facility for the last 4 years and has brought light & joy to that community, and was always very thankful for the care she received there. We hope to greet our dear Antonia in the next life! In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Antonia Collins.
