Carol Kay (Pitman) Scarbrough went to be with the Lord on November 1, 2017.
Kay was born on October 21, 1942. She left behind her husband, Jim Tom Scarbrough. She was predeceased by her father, John Robert Pitman, Sr., mother, Lillie Gertrude (Sorrow) Pitman, brothers, John Robert Pitman, Jr., William Joseph Pitman, Howard Randolph, Sr. and David Lewis Pitman. She left behind many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
Kay graduated from Robert L. Osborne High School in 1960. She worked at Shamrock Knitting mills and K-Mart for many years. She was a member of Chapel Hills of Dunwoody.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Bill Head Funeral Home, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel, with Pastor Danny Duvall officiating. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Elberton, GA.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday from 1:00 - 2:00 pm at Bill Head Funeral Homes and Crematory, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel, (770) 564-2726.
