David R. Lamb, Sr., 69, of Duluth, GA passed away on January 10, 2019.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor D. Kirk Bressette officiating.
Mr. Lamb, a native of Thomasville, GA, attended the Duluth First Baptist Church. He was a retired United States Air Force veteran having served two tours in the Vietnam War as Pararescue. He was employed with Drive Smart Georgia, was retired from Choicepoint, and was previously employed with Gwinnett Tech as a teacher and with Equifax. He was a member of the Goldwing Road Riders Association Chapter D, the G2 Motorcycle Club, and the Duluth American Legion Post # 0251. He was heavily involved with the Duluth Athletic Association and was a lay football coach with the Duluth High School Football Team.
He is survived by his wife, Debra R. Downen of Duluth, GA; son and daughter-in-law, David R. and Polly Ann Lamb, Jr. of Newport, NC; daughter, Dana Lamb of Atlanta, GA; son, William (Bill) Lamb of Norcross, GA; ex-wife, Ellen Lamb of Lilburn, GA; brother, Donnie Lamb of Thomasville, GA; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
