Grover Martin Tanner, Jr, age 89 and a resident of Stone Mountain, GA for over 57 years, passed away Monday, March 18, 2019.

He is survived by his son, Dana Martin Tanner; his daughter, Charisse Tanner Southerland and her husband, James, and their children, Courtney and Cody Southerland. His wife of 51 years, Jerri Tanner, predeceased him as did all of his siblings.
Grover attended Boys High and graduated from Roosevelt High School in Atlanta. He worked for Western Electric and retired with 33 years of service but continued in the telecommunications industry for many more years. He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, a former farmer, Realtor and Mason. He spent one summer traveling across the United States and Canada in a motor home and loved taking his family to Florida for many summers.
