Mary Elizabeth Davis, 58, of Atlanta, GA, died Monday, September 9, 2019 at Emory St. Joseph’s Hospital after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Albion, New York but lived the majority of her life in Atlanta, GA. Mrs. Davis was a former Administrative Assistant for both Bank of America’s Factoring division and later with GMAC Commercial Finance.
Deeply devoted to both family and friends, Mrs. Davis was a lover of animals, particularly cats, and an avid beach goer.
She was pre-deceased by her parents, Al and Betty Burgio, brother, Marty Burgio and niece, Karen Irvine Maynard. She is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Tim Davis of Atlanta, GA; one stepson, Christoper Davis, of NYC; sister, Frances (Paul) Maynard of Charlotte, NC; sister-in-law, Teresa (Mark) Cooledge; nephews, Mike and Martin Burgio, Sam, Mark and David Maynard and Morgan Cooledge; niece, Erin Cooledge; many cousins and extended family.
The family will receive friends at Bill Head Funeral Home, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel, 6101 Lawrenceville Highway, Tucker, GA, 30084 on Thursday, September 12th from 1:00 - 2:00 PM to be immediately followed by a Memorial Service.
Memorial gifts may be made in Mrs. Davis’ name to the American Cancer Society, 250 Williams Street, Atlanta, GA, to the attention of Deborah Moore.
