Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
The health and safety of our employees, clients and guests is one of our top priorities. The staff of Bill Head Funeral Homes & Crematory is continually monitoring up-to-date information on the Coronavirus (COVID-19) from Federal, State and Local authorities as well as from the professional organizations to which we belong. At this time, Bill Head Funeral Homes & Crematory will continue to operate using the best practices guidelines as established by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and by the National Funeral Directors Association. Please be aware that these polices are subject to immediate change upon recommendation or decree from Federal, State and/or Local government officials.
In accordance with updated guidelines released by the CDC and the Governor of Georgia, gatherings or events with an expected attendance of more than 50 people will be prohibited or postponed until a later date. Our funeral directors will continue to work with each family to customize and make arrangements that try to accommodate family members and friends yet stay within recommended safety guidelines. For arrangement conferences with our funeral directors, we ask that a maximum of 2-4 family members be present. We CAN accommodate arrangements that include viewing, with special stipulations in place to comply with recommended guidelines. No visitations and/or services with over 50 people present will be permitted inside of our chapels at this time. Please check with your cemetery for their current policies regarding gatherings.
These guidelines and practices are established and put in place for the safety and well-being of our employees, our client families and all friends and potential visitors to our facilities.
We are taking proactive measures to help prevent the spread of any illness. We have implemented additional cleaning and disinfecting protocols to be performed after each service with extra attention paid to high-touch areas. However, we do encourage frequent handwashing and liberal use of hand sanitizer by our employees and visitors. It is also requested that physical contact be avoided between family members and visitors such as hand shakes, hugs and other such person-to-person contact.
We respectfully ask that any family member or visitor who may be experiencing any cold or flu-like symptoms including fever, cough and shortness of breath or who may have been in contact with someone who has been out of the country or who may have been out of the country themselves please do not visit Bill Head Funeral Homes & Crematory at this time.
Our staff will work with each family to provide them with options and alternatives should such a situation become necessary. We are currently exploring additional options to provide opportunities for those who cannot attend services in person at this time.
