Thomas Graham Milner Jr., age 89, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 in Gainesville, Georgia.
He was born in Camden, Arkansas in 1929 to Thomas Graham and Dessie Garmany Milner and was the oldest of four children. After graduating from Gould High School, he worked as a deliveryman and pressman for the Pine Bluff Commercial gaining valuable skills for his future career. Graham was married to Sybil Louise Terry for 55 years until he was preceded in death by her in 2005. During the Korean War, he was drafted as Private First Class into the U.S. Army. During his years of service, his unit printed the Pacific Stars & Stripes providing important news and communication to overseas troops. After an honorable discharge, Graham continued a long career in the printing industry working for The Daily Oklahoman, Krueger Printing, Foote & Davies Company and American Signature. Graham was a devout Christian who celebrated his faith during a 37 year membership to Embry Hills United Methodist Church and most recently at Gainesville First United Methodist Church. Graham was an avid outdoorsman, an unwavering patriot of the United States and a loyal fan to the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves. He was a devoted family man, was loved and adored by family and friends and will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.
Graham is survived by his children, Danny (Jenni) Milner and Sheri Milner (Bob) Hudson; grandchildren, Jeff Hudson, Brandon Hudson, Easton Clark and Patrick Milner; sisters, Patsy Milner (Bill) Reed and Peggy Milner Perrone; countless nieces and nephews and Ally his rescued furbaby and loyal companion. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Sybil and his brother Dwayne Milner.
A viewing will be held Saturday, June 23, 2018 and the family will greet friends from 9:30 – 11:00 am at the Bill Head Funeral Home, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel. Funeral services will be held immediately following at 11:00 am with interment to follow at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Tucker.
