Lillian Mary (Weigel) MaytonOctober 18, 1925 ~ September 8, 2017 (age 91)
Lillian Mary Mayton, 91, of Suwanee, GA., passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, September 8, 2017. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Duluth First United Methodist Church.
Lillian was born in Detroit Michigan on October 18, 1925 to George and Mildred Weigel. She graduated from Cooley High School in 1942. While working at William Pike Company, she met Carl S. Mayton, the love of her life, whom she married in October of 1948.
Lillian was a homemaker until Carl's passing in 1972. At the time, she went to work for Eastman Kodak where she held various positions, Until her retirement in 1991. Following her retirement, Lillian enjoyed spending time with her family and attending their many activities. Lillian was also very involved in Duluth First United Methodist Church, and she loved her Sunday School Class as well as her circle and senior groups.
Lillian is preceded in death by her parents, George and Mildred Weigel, of Detroit, Michigan and her husband Carl S. Mayton of Dunwoody, Georgia.
Lillian is survived by her children, Dave and Brenda Mayton of Duluth, Curt and Sue Rogers of Suwanee, Kim Kudelka of Duluth; grandchildren, Mitchell Mayton of Duluth, Taylor Mayton of Duluth, Ali Mayton of Duluth, Michael and Katie Kudelka of Brookhaven, Sean Kudelka of Dunwoody, Alex Kudelka and Dylan Varone of Atlanta; great grandchild Landon Mayton; step grandchildren, Courtney Rogers of Sugar Hill, Shane and Whitney Ensley of Woodstock, Matt and Michelle Rogers of Dacula; sister, Jane Bashara of Plymouth, MI, nephews, Greg and Cindy Bashara of Plymouth, MI, Ken Bashara of Plymouth, MI, Ron and Kristi Bashara of Cincinnati, OH.
Lillian had a love for the Lord. She knows He is her Lord and Savior and is now in His loving arms.
