Edna and her twin brother, Edwin were born in Peoria, Illinois on March 10th, 1931. Most of her childhood was spent in Freehome, Ga and Latham Town, GA.  Later her family moved to Lilburn, Ga where she graduated from Lilburn High school in May of 1949.

After high school Edna worked as an insurance underwriter for Crum and Foster in Atlanta. In 1952, she married  Charles (Jimmy) Lamar Bryan of Lilburn, GA.  Edna then went to work for the City of Lilburn as their City Clerk.  In 1966, Edna and her husband, Jimmy, adopted their son, Chris Bryan. Edna decided to leave her job and become a stay at home mom, where she enjoyed family life and becoming the first PTA President at Lilburn Elementary School.  Edna and her husband, Jimmy helped establish the Lilburn Alliance Church, becoming charter members.  Edna also enjoyed cheering her brother Jack Smith to the finish line in NASCAR and going to car shows with her son and husband Jimmy. There is a 20 foot picture of Edna giving a trophy to her brother Jack Smith in the Georgia NASCAR hall of fame.
After the death of her husband, Jimmy in 1979, Edna remained single for 8 years, during this time she traveled with family & friends to Europe on many occasions. She loved spending time with her family.

In 1987, Edna met and married Grady Reeves. She was thrilled to have a new daughter and 2 new sons. The family continued to grow with grandchildren and great grandchildren. Edna loved them all and enjoyed her time with them. She spoke often of her times with the kids, playing games when they would visit.

In 1988, Edna and Grady moved to the beautiful mountains of Blue Ridge GA, where they became friends with folks in their community.  Reaching people for Christ was very important to Edna, so once again, she and her new husband, Grady set out in helping start the Alliance Church in Blue Ridge Ga.  Edna also helped start the Mountain Area Christian Academy (MACA) in Blue Ridge, where she was a board member for several years.

Edna had a wonderful gift of hospitality. Her doors were always open to everyone and anyone needing a place.  Because of her giving nature, she built a special guest house in the mountains for missionary families to come  rest, relax and be refreshed.  This was her gift offering to the Lord.

On Jan. 2, 2017, Edna came to live with her son, Chris in Lilburn, to have hip surgery and rehabilitation. In October 2018, Edna went to live with her husband, Grady Reeves at Atria Park of Tucker Ga.
