Mrs. Frederica Gottlob Morgan Edwards, 96, of Wartrace TN died January 6th, 2018 after an extended illness. 

A native of Alicia, AR, she is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Mary Charlotte (Standiford) Gottlob, sisters Christine Morris, Charlotte Hunter, Cathryn Gale, brothers Theodore and Randolph Gottlob, husband William Grady Morgan, son Joseph Morris Morgan, and 2nd husband James Howard Edwards.  She is survived by her  daughter Michelle Morgan Miller (Gary Lohsen), grandson Morgan C. Miller, all of Lawrenceville, GA, son Robert L. Morgan of Carlsbad, CA, sister Henrietta Ferrington of Waterproof, LA, numerous nieces and nephews, and many, many loving friends and neighbors. 

She was a 1939 graduate of Swifton High School, Swifton, AR, and worked on the Manhattan Project in Oak Ridge, TN during WWII in the position known as a “Calutron Girl.”  Frederica was an active member of the Shelbyville Woman’s Club, Bedford County FCE Clubs, and long standing member of the Cheekwood Chapter of the Embroiderer’s Guild of America.  In 2005 she acquired her Master Craftmanship Certification in Crewel Embroidery as part of the Embroiderer’s Guild program. 

The family would like to thank all her friends and neighbors for the many acts of kindness expressed over the last several years.  At her request, there will be no funeral service planned. Online condolences may be sent by visiting Bill Head Funeral Homes & Crematory Duluth Chapel (770)476-2535.
