Nancy Cottle Johnson, 61, of Stone Mountain, passed away Thursday February 22, 2018.
Nancy was born in Akron, Ohio and moved with her family to Georgia in 1971. She graduated from Sequoyah High School in 1975 and attended the University of Georgia. She was an underwriter at Sentry Insurance and Commercial Union. After moving to Stone Mountain, she was a faithful member of the Nash Estates Women's Club.
Over a period of 40 years, she courageously faced the challenges of lupus, heart and lung disease and more. These did not stop her from living a loving and caring life with her friends and family. With her devoted husband Darryl, Nancy enjoyed live concerts, traveled the world and cheered the Braves and Bulldogs.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Elaine Adams and Basil Cottle, her father-in-law, Eldridge "Red" Johnson, her nephew Alex Padilla and her beloved dogs Baron, Sport, Muffy, Max and Georgie.
She is survived by her husband, Darryl Keith; her mother, Lois Johnson; her sisters, Gail Padilla and Marianne Etheridge; step-sister, Elaine Perry; brother, David Cottle; brother-in-law, Phillip Johnson; nieces, Amy and Ashley Etheridge and Allysa Johnson; nephew, Hayden Johnson; great-nieces, Macie and Madison Hightower; and special cousins, Sheila and Brian Falgout.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that in her memory, you share a random act of kindness or make a donation to the Lupus Foundation of America - Atlanta chapter.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 25th, from 2 pm to 4 pm at Bill Head Funeral Homes and Crematory, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel, (770) 564-2726.
