Roy Franklin Key, age 89, of Roswell, returned to his heavenly home on May 10, 2018.
He was born April 25, 1929 in Coffee Springs, AL. He married the love of his life, Joyce Miller, on September 19, 1950. In 1972, he brought his family from Mount Dora, FL to the Atlanta area, starting Roy F. Key & Sons, a tile contracting business. His 46 year legacy continues strong today, managed by his son, Stephen Key, as Key Tile, Inc.. Roy was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him throughout his lifetime and ultimately gave him peace.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 68 years, Joyce Key of Roswell; his three children, Duane Key (Marcia) of Homedale, ID, Stephen Key (Karen) of Monticello, and Ann-Jeannine Key (Jay) of Roswell; brother, Raymond Key (Mary Sue) of Houston, TX; sisters, Barbara Holland of Duluth and Faye Hylton (Roger) of Mount Dora, FL.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Bill Head Funeral Home, Lilburn/Tucker Chapel.
